Vintage Technology, Art, and Recycling

Once upon a time, people used large, clunky computers to store 80 kb of data on giant, 8-inch floppy disks.   Now . . . Retro Printing and Publishing uses these 8-inch and smaller 5.25 and 3.5-inch floppy disks and artwork for the covers on our writing journals, address books, and sketchbooks.  You can hand-write over 100 times inside our journals than could be electronically stored on the first 8-inch disk from the 1960s! 

These vintage floppy disk covers make Retro's products truly unique.   The books are hand-made using recycled paper containing either 30% or 100% post consumer waste.  In addition, the floppies make an attractive cover, and the drive hole is the perfect frame for our Celtic artwork or North American dragon flies.  This fusion of vintage technology, art, recycled and re-used materials, and practicality makes Retro's products attractive, unique, and ecologically friendly.
